Austin Friday Weather: The Drizzle Code Strengthens to Rain at 70.7 Degrees, Halloween Holds at 73.6, and Election Day Thunderstorms Stay at 49 Percent
The station's live feed at 6 a.m. upgraded Friday from drizzle to rain for the last day of early voting, while Halloween stayed dry-leaning and the Election Day storm signal held at its highest reading of the week.

Austin's Friday got wetter on the morning feed. The station's live Open-Meteo feed, read at about 6:10 a.m., put the city at 64.7 degrees, feeling like 67.6, under overcast skies — and Friday's own code strengthened from drizzle (53) to rain (61), with a high of 70.7 degrees, a low of 64.6 and a 46 percent precipitation chance. It is a damp final day of early voting: 45 Travis County sites are open, seven of them until 10 p.m.
Halloween barely moved, and what movement there was ran drier. Saturday is coded overcast with a high of 73.6 degrees, a low of 64.8 and a precipitation chance that eased from 26 percent to 24 percent — the feed still favors a dry night for trick-or-treating, the Texas-Mississippi State crowd at Darrell K Royal and the Sixth Street closures. Sunday is the warm break: overcast, 84.0 degrees, a low of 67.7 and a 7 percent chance.
Monday stays warm and overcast at 87.6 degrees with a 25 percent chance, and Election Day's signal held at the week's peak. Tuesday still carries thunderstorms (code 95) at a 49 percent precipitation chance, with a high of 77.3 and a low of 68.3 — Travis County's 201 Election Day sites may need the rain plan.
Behind the election the feed clears: Wednesday is clear at 77.3 degrees with a 2 percent chance, and Thursday is overcast at 79.8 with a 4 percent chance. All figures are single-feed reads and will be re-read for the 17:00 file.
