Texas A&M Removes Four Men's Swimmers From the Roster After a Conduct Review, Weeks Before the Texas Invitational in Austin
Fifth-year Connor Foote, seniors Logan Brown and Ben Scholl and junior Chase Swearingen were removed from the Texas A&M men's swimming roster on Tuesday after a university conduct review, EssentiallySports reported, citing SwimSwam reporting that the violations are related to hazing.

Four Texas A&M men's swimmers have been removed from the roster following student conduct violations, EssentiallySports reported on Wednesday. The university confirmed that members of the men's team had missed early-season competition because of "student-related conduct violations," and head coach Blaire Anderson said the school had completed its review and taken action, according to the report.
"Behavior that falls short of Texas A&M's Core Values has no place in our program," Anderson said, in a statement carried by the report. "We will continue working closely with university leadership to uphold the standards expected at Texas A&M." According to SwimSwam, as reported by EssentiallySports, the violations are related to hazing. The university has confirmed that action was taken but has not publicly detailed the individual findings behind the four removals, the report said.
The four swimmers are fifth-year Connor Foote, seniors Logan Brown and Ben Scholl and junior Chase Swearingen, who had been absent from competition before their removal from the roster on Tuesday morning, according to the report. Seven swimmers in total had missed the Aggies' opening meets against Georgia on October 10 and LSU on October 23, with three of those absences reportedly stemming from injuries or illness.
On the competitive side, Texas A&M lost its openers 222-78 to Georgia and 181.5-116.5 to LSU, the report said. The team's next scheduled competition is the Texas Invitational in Austin from November 18 to 20 — a meet that will now test a thinner Aggie roster in the Longhorns' home pool.
