Golden Knights Beat the Senators 4-1 as Raphael Lavoie's First NHL Goal Snaps a Three-Game Losing Streak (AUSTIN CAPITAL NEWS)

The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Ottawa Senators 4-1 on Tuesday night in Las Vegas, with Raphael Lavoie's first NHL goal standing as the game-winner, Reuters reported through Field Level Media. Lavoie scored at the 8:01 mark of the third period, slamming in the rebound of a Nic Dowd shot to break a 1-1 tie. He was playing his 27th career NHL game, and his 10th this season, the report said.

Vegas opened the scoring with 11 seconds left in the second period, when Braeden Bowman tapped in a rebound of an Ivan Barbashev shot on the power play, according to the report. Ottawa tied it 33 seconds into the third on a power-play goal by Shane Pinto, before Lavoie's go-ahead goal. William Karlsson and Jack Eichel added empty-net goals in the final two minutes to close the 4-1 final, which Sportradar's listing confirmed with period scores of 0-0, 1-0 and 3-1.

Goaltender Adin Hill stopped 25 shots for Vegas, including a diving save on a Tim Stutzle backdoor one-timer early in the second period, the report said. Jonas Johansson stopped 25 of 27 shots for Ottawa, which was opening a five-game road trip and has alternated wins and losses for eight games, according to the report.

The win snapped a season-high three-game losing streak (0-2-1) for the Golden Knights, Reuters reported. Sportradar listed Vegas at 9-4 on the season after the win and Ottawa at 8-5.
