Grizzlies Beat Kings 136-105: Rookie Cameron Boozer Scores a Career-High 27 as Memphis Starts 6-0
The NBA has one unbeaten team left, and it is Memphis. Rookie Cameron Boozer's career-high 27 points and an 81-point bench carried the Grizzlies past winless Sacramento 136-105 on Saturday, matching the best start in franchise history.

Memphis is the last unbeaten team in the NBA, and Saturday night showed why. Rookie forward Cameron Boozer scored a career-high 27 points with nine rebounds and Isaiah Stewart added a season-high 24 off the bench as the Grizzlies routed the Sacramento Kings 136-105 at FedExForum, Reuters reported.
The 6-0 start matches the best opening stretch in franchise history, first set in 2014-15. Boozer shot 8-of-14, Stewart made 8 of 9 shots in just 21 minutes, and the Memphis bench poured in 81 points while the team hit 19 of 38 three-pointers. Cam Spencer, starting for the injured Ty Jerome, kept the offense moving with 10 points and 13 assists, the Commercial Appeal reported. Memphis led 66-55 at halftime, then scored 42 points in the third quarter to turn the game into a rout.
Sacramento's bright spot was its own rookie: Darius Acuff Jr. scored a career-high 38 points with nine three-pointers on 14 attempts. It was not nearly enough — the Kings fell to 0-6 and remain one of two winless teams in the league.
Memphis played without starting point guard Ty Jerome and backup Scotty Pippen Jr., both out with back injuries, and still was not seriously threatened after halftime. The Grizzlies host New Orleans on Monday night with the franchise-record start — 7-0 — on the table.
