Commanders Beat the Eagles 27-10 on Sunday Night Football: Jayden Daniels Throws for 217 Yards and Washington Scores 27 Unanswered Points (AUSTIN CAPITAL NEWS)

Jayden Daniels passed for 217 yards and a touchdown and the Washington Commanders won for the first time since Week 3, beating the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10 on Sunday night in Landover, Maryland, Reuters reported. Drew Stevens kicked four field goals and Stefon Diggs caught a touchdown pass as the Commanders (2-4-1) erased an early 10-point deficit and handed the Eagles (2-6) their sixth straight loss, their longest skid since 2012.

Philadelphia's start was its whole night. The Eagles jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter on Jake Elliott's 40-yard field goal and Saquon Barkley's 3-yard touchdown run, Reuters reported, and did not score again. Daniels tied the game with an 8-yard touchdown pass to Diggs, capping an 11-play, 89-yard drive, and Stevens' 39-yard kick with 19 seconds left in the half sent Washington into the break ahead 13-10. Daniels finished 16 of 29 for 217 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions, NBC Sports reported.

The second half belonged to Washington's defense and its kicker. After a fumble by Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee, Daniels hit Treylon Burks for 53 yards and Stevens converted from 25 yards to make it 16-10, Reuters reported. Elliott's 41-yard try hit the left upright with 8:58 to play - his first missed kick of the season - and Stevens answered from 42 yards for 19-10 with 3:43 left. A 1-yard touchdown run by Rachaad White and a two-point conversion run by Austin Ekeler with 1:52 to play closed out the 27 unanswered points. McKee, starting in place of Jalen Hurts, completed 23 of 34 passes for 212 yards in his first career road start, Reuters reported. The win splits the season series after Philadelphia's 24-22 victory in Week 1.
