Broncos Beat the Chiefs 28-24: Jonah Coleman's Late Touchdown and a Goal-Line Stand at the 1 Give Denver the AFC West Lead
Denver trailed 24-13, scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:56 left - and then watched Kansas City drive to its 1-yard line with four seconds to play. One sack ended it.

Jonah Coleman scored a go-ahead touchdown with 1:56 remaining, and the host Denver Broncos made a goal-line stand in the final seconds to rally and beat the Kansas City Chiefs 28-24 on Sunday, Reuters reported. Bo Nix threw two fourth-down touchdown passes as Denver (6-2) overcame a 24-13 deficit to take over first place in the AFC West.
The comeback ran through Coleman. Nix hit the rookie on a 51-yard pass play to the Kansas City 5, and Coleman took it in on the next play to give the Broncos the 28-24 lead, Reuters reported. Coleman finished with 104 total yards - 41 rushing and 63 receiving - and Jaylen Waddle also caught a touchdown pass for Denver, which has won four in a row. Nix was 20 of 32 passing for 222 yards, including a fourth-quarter fourth-down touchdown pass to Nate Adkins.
Kansas City (5-2) still nearly stole it back. Patrick Mahomes drove the Chiefs to the Denver 1 with four seconds left before Malcolm Roach sacked him to end the game, Reuters reported. Mahomes was 30 of 41 passing for 321 yards and three touchdowns; Emmett Johnson had 143 total yards, 128 of them receiving, with a scoring catch, and Rashee Rice and Noah Gray also caught touchdown passes in the loss.
