Travis County Early Voting Passes 360,000 Ballots With Two Days to Go
Through Wednesday, the tenth day of early voting, Travis County voters had cast 360,302 ballots - 37.98 percent of the county's 948,575 registered voters - with the two busiest logistics days of the period, Thursday and Friday, still to come.

Travis County's early vote has passed 360,000. The county clerk's Elections Division, in its unofficial daily totals through Wednesday, October 28, counts 360,302 ballots cast in the November 3 Joint General and Special Elections - 37.98 percent of the county's 948,575 registered voters, with two days of early voting left.
Almost all of it is in person. Of the 360,302 ballots, 343,145 were cast in person at early voting locations - roughly 95 percent of the total - alongside 15,427 mail ballots received and 1,730 limited ballots, the form available to Texans voting early in a county other than the one where they are registered.
The shape of the ten days is steady rather than spiky. Opening day, Monday, October 19, remains the high-water mark at 49,987 ballots, helped by a large first batch of mail ballots. The weekend was the slow stretch - 25,450 on Saturday and 18,733 on Sunday, the quietest day of the period - and the second week has climbed a little each weekday since: 34,298 on Monday, 34,484 on Tuesday and 35,298 on Wednesday.
What remains is the long-hours finish. Early voting runs Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the county's sites, with seven locations - including the Texas Union and the county clerk's office on Airport Boulevard - staying open until 10 p.m. both nights. Early voting ends Friday, October 30; there is no weekend or Monday voting this year. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. The totals are the clerk's unofficial daily figures and will keep climbing through Friday.
