El Paso gets a stop from each of the state's top-ticket campaigns in the closing days: James Talarico on Monday night, Gina Hinojosa on Wednesday, Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday and Ken Paxton on Sunday.

All four of Texas's top-ticket candidates are passing through El Paso in the final week before Election Day, according to the El Paso Times guide to the visits published October 26. The stops come as early voting runs through Friday, October 30, ahead of the November 3 midterms.
Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico was scheduled in El Paso on Monday, October 26, at 7 p.m. at UTEP's Magoffin Auditorium, 675 Circle Drive, with doors at 6 p.m. The rally is part of his 'Clear Eyes, Full Hearts' tour, a name taken from the Friday Night Lights phrase 'Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.'
Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa follows on Wednesday, October 28, at 6 p.m. at the Epic Railyard Event Center, 2201 East Mills Ave., on her 'One Fight Tour.' Republican Gov. Greg Abbott is next, with a get-out-the-vote event Thursday, October 29, at 3 p.m. at Rosa's Cantina, 3454 Doniphan Drive; the event is free, with food and light refreshments served.
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton closes the El Paso run on Sunday, November 1, at 3:30 p.m. at the Orca Event Center, 11323 Rojas Drive, Suite A-101. His event is free, with spots reservable on his campaign website. The sequence gives El Paso voters a live look at both Senate campaigns and both governor campaigns inside a single week.
