Florida vs Georgia: No. 3 Bulldogs Beat the Gators 27-8 in Atlanta Behind Four Turnovers
The rivalry moved to Atlanta for a year, and Georgia brought its defense with it: four Florida turnovers, 17 points off them, a 66-yard fumble return — and a sixth straight win in the series.

No. 3 Georgia beat No. 17 Florida 27-8 on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, in the first Georgia-Florida game played away from Jacksonville since the mid-1990s, forced by renovations at EverBank Stadium. Georgia's athletics report put the sellout at 72,541 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the story of the day in one line: the Bulldogs forced four turnovers and turned them into 17 points, on the way to their sixth consecutive win in the series.
The game broke open late in the first half. Nate Frazier's 1-yard touchdown run had made it 7-0 late in the first quarter, Peyton Woodring's 28-yard field goal pushed it to 10-0, and Bo Walker's 1-yard run capped an 81-yard drive for 17-0. Then, with Florida driving and 29 seconds left in the half, Tramell Jones was sacked as he cocked his arm to throw; the fumble was ruled live, and linebacker Chris Cole scooped it and ran 66 yards for a touchdown and a 24-0 halftime lead, according to Florida's official game report.
Florida never recovered. The Gators (5-3, 3-3 SEC) held Georgia (7-1, 5-1) to 318 total yards — 15 points below the Bulldogs' season scoring average — but running back Jaden Baugh managed only 38 yards on 17 carries against a Georgia front that UGA Wire reported Kirby Smart called his team's top defensive performance of the season. Georgia rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns as a team, and Woodring's 21-yard field goal with 3:34 left closed the scoring at 27-8 after Florida's lone fourth-quarter touchdown. Next up, Georgia travels to Ole Miss on November 7, while Florida hosts Oklahoma the same day.
