Austin Warms Toward 89 by Sunday, Then Thunderstorms Enter Next Monday's Forecast (AUSTIN CAPITAL NEWS)

Austin's week does not cool off and stay cool. Tonight's live station feed, built on Open-Meteo, put the city at 71 degrees and overcast late Monday night, on the way to a Tuesday high near 83 with a low of 64.5 and only a 6 percent precipitation chance under light drizzle conditions.

Wednesday repeats the pattern - a high near 83, a low near 63 and a 21 percent precipitation chance - before Thursday turns noticeably cooler, with a high of 76 and a low of 68.5. Friday is the week's change day: the feed calls for rain showers, a high of only 72.3 and a 39 percent precipitation chance, the highest of the seven-day stretch.

The heat then rebuilds quickly. Saturday returns to overcast skies and a high near 85, and Sunday climbs to near 89 with a low of 70 and only a 5 percent precipitation chance - the warmest day in the current feed.

Beyond the weekend, the feed introduces a thunderstorm code for next Monday, with a high near 87, a low of 70.5 and a 19 percent precipitation chance. That is an early signal a full week out, not a warning, and the Weather Desk will track whether it holds as the weekend approaches.
