Austin Tuesday Turns Warm Again: Overcast Skies, a High Near 82 and Only a Slim Rain Chance (AUSTIN CAPITAL NEWS)

Austin heads into Tuesday warmer than the early forecasts suggested. The station's live weather feed, powered by Open-Meteo, read 70.5 degrees and overcast on Monday night, feeling like about 72, on the way to a mild night with a low near 65.

Tuesday now tops out near 82 degrees under overcast skies, with rain chances around 16 percent - a few degrees warmer than the cooler Tuesday the feed was showing earlier in the week. Wednesday runs warm as well, with a high near 83 and a chance of drizzle, with rain chances around 21 percent.

Thursday cools back to a high near 76 with rain chances around 10 percent, before the week's real rain signal arrives Friday: showers, a high near 72 and rain chances near 39 percent, the highest of the week on tonight's feed.

The weekend then dries out and warms sharply, with Saturday near 85 and Sunday near 89 under clearer skies. For early voters and Halloween-weekend plans, Tuesday itself is an easy day: warm, gray and dry for most of the city.
