Austin Weather Update: Thursday Warms to Near 83 Under Overcast Skies as Friday's Rain Chance Jumps to 46 Percent
The late week has reshaped again since the morning outlook: Thursday's fog is gone from the feed, replaced by a warm overcast day, and Friday's rain is now the week's likeliest wet day at a 46 percent chance — still with a cool high near 72.

Austin's Thursday has warmed up in the forecast. The station's live Open-Meteo feed read 69 degrees and overcast mid-morning Wednesday, and it now calls Thursday overcast (weather code 3) with a high of 82.7 and a low of 66.9 — replacing the fog and 79-degree high in the morning file — with a 22 percent precipitation chance.
Friday remains the cool, wet pivot of the week, and wetter than first called: rain (code 63) with a high of 72.1 and a low of 63.4, and a precipitation chance that has jumped to 46 percent, up from 17 percent in the morning outlook, according to the feed. Wednesday itself stays a light-rain day (code 51) with a high of 83.7 and an 11 percent precipitation chance.
The weekend still improves after Friday. Saturday brings rain showers (code 80) and a high of 80.1 with a 17 percent chance, and Sunday is the driest day on the feed — overcast, a high of 86.7 and just a 2 percent precipitation chance.
Monday's thunderstorms (code 95) hold at a high of 88.3 with a 21 percent chance, and Tuesday cools behind them — partly cloudy, 76.9 for a high, 63.8 for a low and a 38 percent precipitation chance. The Weather Desk files its next full outlook at 17:00.
