Austin Sunday Evening Weather: 83.5 and Overcast as the Clouds Close In, and Election Day's Rain Chance Holds at 75 Percent
The partly cloudy afternoon gave way to an overcast evening. Monday's fog is out of the forecast, Tuesday's Election Day rain is not - it still sits at 75 percent, the number Austin voters need to plan around.

Austin's Sunday turned grey to close. The station's live weather feed, read Sunday evening, November 1, showed 83.5 degrees under overcast skies (code 3), feeling like 87.1 - down from the 85.2 partly cloudy reading at mid-afternoon, with the day's high confirmed at 85 and the low at 61.8, and a 1 percent precipitation chance.
Monday's picture changed in this update. The fog that opened every earlier Sunday file is gone from the feed: Monday is now coded overcast (code 3) with a high of 81.7 and a notably warmer low of 67.2, and a 3 percent rain chance - a grey start to the week rather than a foggy one, on the last full day before the election.
Tueday is unchanged where it matters. Election Day remains coded as rain (code 65) with a high of 78.3, a low of 65.2 and a 75 percent precipitation probability - the same strongest signal of the weekend, held across two straight updates. Travis County's 201 Election Day vote centers are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, and anyone in line at 7 p.m. still votes; a rain jacket is the practical advice of this forecast. Behind it, Wednesday turns overcast and dry at 79.9 with a 0 percent rain chance, and Thursday climbs back to 82.9.
