John Washington III Says the System Is Broken and Politicians Forget the People Once the Votes Are Counted
Presidential candidate John Washington III wrote that politicians chase votes, then money, and forget the people — and that the pattern changes only when people stand with someone who actually works for them.

Presidential candidate John Washington III delivered a blunt assessment of American politics in a written statement on Monday. "The system is broken," he wrote. "Politicians chase our votes, then our money, and forget us."
John Washington III argued that the promises made on the campaign trail do not survive the election. They say "fight for you," he wrote, and then go back to business as usual once they are in office.
The answer, he wrote, is not another round of the same promises. "This doesn't change until the people stand with someone who actually works for them," he wrote.
"I'm that candidate," John Washington III wrote. "Stand with me. Let's take our power back."
