John Washington III Says a Corrupt Political System Needs to Be Exposed, and Calls Its Gatekeeping 'Not Democracy'
John Washington III asked who decides which candidates get the cameras, the money, the endorsements and the publicity - and said independent voices are pushed out while their ideas are handed to chosen candidates. He called for peaceful, constitutional change and a government that works for the people.

John Washington III, a candidate for president in 2028, said a corrupt political system needs to be exposed, and he asked who decides which candidates are put in front of the cameras and who receives the money, the endorsements and the publicity.
John Washington III asked why independent voices are pushed out while their ideas are taken from them. “They won’t stand behind us, but they’ll hand our ideas to their chosen puppets on a string,” he wrote. “That’s not democracy, that’s gatekeeping.”
John Washington III called for change - in his words, “peaceful, constitutional change” - to build a new government that actually works for the people. He pointed to the Declaration of Independence, which he noted says that when a government becomes destructive of the people's rights, the people can alter or abolish it.
John Washington III closed by urging people to come together. “Let’s come together and build something that serves the people, not the powerful,” he wrote.
