Texas Early Voting Tops 4.54 Million Ballots, With Travis County at 297,298 as the Final Week Runs to Friday
Texas voters had cast 4,542,524 early ballots as of Tuesday, the On Point Politics tracker reports - 4.33 million of them in person - and Travis County's total stood at 297,298 with four days of early voting left.

Texas voters had cast 4,542,524 ballots in the 2026 midterms as of Tuesday, October 27, according to the On Point Politics early-vote tracker - 4,334,054 of them in person and 208,470 by mail. The tracker compiles its counts from state election offices via civicAPI, and each state reports on its own schedule.
In Travis County, the tracker's county table puts the total at 297,298 ballots: 285,239 cast in person and 12,059 by mail. That keeps Travis among the state's heaviest early-voting counties, behind Harris, Dallas, Tarrant and Bexar in raw ballots on the same table - and the count will keep climbing through the final days of the window.
One caution the tracker states plainly: Texas does not publish the party of its early voters, so any party split attached to these ballots is modeled by On Point Polling from county results and voter demographics, not reported by election officials. The ballot counts themselves are the reported figures; who cast them, in party terms, is an estimate.
Early voting in Texas runs through Friday, October 30, ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, November 3. Travis County voters can cast an early ballot at any open site in the county during the window.
