Early Voting Ends Friday in Travis County: 44 Sites Open 7 to 7, Seven Stay Open Until 10 p.m., and One Site Opens Only for the Last Day (AUSTIN CAPITAL NEWS)

Friday is the deadline. Early voting in Travis County ends on Friday, October 30, after a 12-day run, and the county's official flyer sets the final day's shape: 44 early-voting sites open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Travis County voters can cast a ballot at any of them, not just the site nearest home.

Seven of those sites stay open three hours later, until 10 p.m. on Friday, as they did on Thursday: the Ben Hur Shrine Center on Rockwood Lane, the Lakeway Activity Center, the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex on Hargrave Street, the PfISD Rock Gym in Pflugerville, the Randalls on Brodie Lane, the Travis County Clerk's office at 5501 Airport Boulevard, and the UT Texas Union. One more site exists only for the final day: the TCC Complex at 3614 Bill Price Road in Del Valle is listed as an early-voting location only on Friday, October 30, bringing the day's total to 45.

Friday is also the last day for a limited ballot. Texans who are registered in another county but now live in Travis County can vote early on a limited ballot - statewide races only - and it can be cast only during early voting and only at the Travis County Clerk's Office on Airport Boulevard, which is one of the 10 p.m. sites. That option disappears when early voting ends; it is not available on Election Day.

What follows Friday's close is a gap with no voting at all: no polls are open Saturday, Sunday or Monday. The next opportunity is Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wait times and the county's official site list are at VoteTravis.gov.
