Sixth Suspect in the Deadly 2025 North Austin Market Robbery Is Arrested at Houston's Bush Airport
More than a year after Miguel Mondragon was shot outside a North Austin market, a sixth suspect in the case is in custody — arrested at Houston's airport and booked in Conroe on a capital murder warrant.

A 2025 Austin killing that has already produced five arrests has produced a sixth. Franklyn Steven Wallace Zeledon, 20, was taken into custody on Monday, October 26, at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport and booked into the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe on warrants for capital murder, two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized criminal activity, according to jail and court records cited by KXAN and Hoodline and compiled by the Texas Gazette.
The case reaches back to the early hours of August 3, 2025, when Miguel Mondragon, 49, was shot about 2:38 a.m. outside the La Michoacana Market at 9811 North Interstate 35, according to the Austin Police Department. Mondragon's death was the city's 37th homicide of 2025; the case number is 25-2150207.
Police made the first arrests within days: Alejandro Hurtado-Reyes and Yanaris Reyes were arrested on August 12, 2025, and Antonio Gonzalez, Gongora Rojas and Achang Batlle were arrested that same August, the Gazette's account of the records said. FOX 7 Austin reported that Hurtado-Reyes was released from the Travis County Jail later that month.
Zeledon's arrest at an airport more than a year later closes the named-suspect list the records describe, and starts the court process in earnest. Every suspect in the case, Zeledon included, is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
