Iowa State Beats Oklahoma State 51-49: Konrardy's Walk-Off Field Goal Ends a 100-Point Halloween Shootout in Ames (AUSTIN CAPITAL NEWS)

Kyle Konrardy kicked a 34-yard field goal as time expired to lift Iowa State to a 51-49 upset of No. 24 Oklahoma State on Saturday night at Jack Trice Stadium, Iowa State Athletics reported. The teams combined for 100 points and 1,114 yards — the most combined points in the 60-year history of the series — with 34 of those points scored in the fourth quarter alone.

Oklahoma State (5-3, 3-2 Big 12) thought it had won it with 53 seconds left, when Drew Mestemaker's shovel pass found Wyatt Young from 7 yards out for a 49-48 lead — the Cowboys' second lead of the night. It was enough time. Starting at his own 37, Jaylen Raynor hit Jamal Polite Jr. for 33 yards on a leaping catch, Aiden Flora ran twice to the 11, and Konrardy — who had already made field goals of 39 and 29 yards — drilled his third career game-winner and set off a field rush.

The numbers behind the chaos were season bests on both sides. Raynor threw for a season-high 309 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score; Flora ran for a career-high 221 yards and two touchdowns; Polite posted career bests of six catches and 171 yards. Iowa State (4-4, 2-3) finished with a season-high 581 yards and its first win over a ranked team since last season's opener. Mestemaker matched his career best with five touchdown passes for Oklahoma State, and Caleb Hawkins ran for 194 yards and two scores and caught a 59-yard touchdown. Iowa State travels to Baylor next Saturday; Oklahoma State goes to Kansas State.
