Austin Hosts the Conference on Robot Learning November 9–12, With Talks at the Hilton, Posters at the JW Marriott and a Keynote at Bass Hall
CoRL, the annual international conference on robotics and machine learning, comes to Austin for four days of keynotes, papers and live robot demos — listed by Texas Robotics at the University of Texas.

Austin's run of artificial-intelligence gatherings adds a major research meeting next month. The Conference on Robot Learning, known as CoRL, runs November 9–12 in Austin, with the main conference November 9–11 and workshops on November 12, according to the event calendar published this week.
The conference is spread across three Austin venues. Talks and keynotes are at the Hilton Austin on the first two days, posters and exhibits are at the JW Marriott Austin, and the reception and the third day's keynote are at Bass Hall. CoRL is the annual international conference on robotics and machine learning, and this Austin edition is listed by Texas Robotics at the University of Texas at Austin.
The subject is how machines learn to see, move and work alongside people — the research behind warehouse arms, delivery machines and the humanoid robots now drawing heavy investment. The program includes keynotes, accepted research papers, live demonstrations and a special panel, along with a Women and Allies Lunch and a childcare and robotics camp for attendees' families.
Registration is open through the conference's official site; the calendar notes that fees are not posted on the main page. For Austin, the meeting is another marker of the city's place in the robot-learning field: for four days in November, the researchers building the next generation of working robots will be presenting that work downtown.
